A short recrystallization demonstration (phthalic acid)
Professor Davis demonstrates the technique of recrystallization in this 90 second video using phthalic acid samples contaminated with a small amount of red food dye as the impurity. This allows the viewer to observe the behavior of the impurity as it is removed.
