On March 10, 2023, ITV announced that beloved children's channel CITV will be shutting down on September 1 of that same year and some of its programming will be moving to ITV's own streaming service ITVX. Many people were expecting that the channel will go off with a bang, but unfortunately that wasn't the case. Just today, the channel abruptly ceased operations right after a rerun of "The Rubbish World of Dave Spud" and ended the channel on a whimper. No tribute, no farewell message, nothing. Just a black screen.

So I decided, why not? I decided to make a tribute video of the nowdefunct CITV, which includes clips of most of its original and acquired programming (Note: I didn't include EVERY program that CITV aired, it will take even longer if I do that). It's pretty similar to the final montage that Thames aired before it was replaced by Carlton on New Years Day, including the same music as that promo. Although I never grew up with CITV since I'm not from the UK, I did enjoy some of their programming that they made.

Thank you CITV for entertaining millions of British kids. You were a truly great network for children.
