This week, Mike is celebrating the success of VOA's 2024 National Conference and congratulating VOA Florida for their affordable housing achievement in St. Petersburg.

The National Conference, attended by over 600 people, featured collaboration and key national board meetings, including VOA National Services and the Church Governing Board. Mike noted the upcoming leadership transition to be announced in July.

The conference kicked off with an 80sthemed Opening Reception, much to Mike's amusement. Richard Hooks Wayman won first place dressed as Richard Simmons, with Angela King from VOA Texas and Robert Gibson from VOA National Office, along with Russ Snyder from VOA Chesapeake & Carolinas, winning second and third places, respectively.

Mike congratulates VOA Florida on the successful grand opening of new affordable housing units in St. Petersburg. He found the ribboncutting event humbling, showcasing VOA's impactful services. Janet Stringfellow, President & CEO of VOA Florida, hosted the event, which included numerous officials. Mike emphasized the importance of building the VOA brand, as demonstrated by VOA Florida's continued media presence.
