I'm a board certified anesthesiologist assistant working in Florida. Here's a glimpse into the CAA lifestyle.
I broke this video into 3 main parts:
1. 0:00 Intro: different shift types (Mine is 5 8s), explaining my call shifts
2. 1:27 SundaySaturday: case types for the day, general structure of any day
3. 5:30 Outro/Comparisons: what would my life look like if I went through any of the other routes to become an anesthesia professional?
A little about me:
I am a NYC native who always had an interest in medicine and pharmacology. I was heavily considering medical school and specializing in anesthesia until I learned more about advance practice providers in anesthesia. I graduated with my masters of medical science in anesthesia in 2021 and have worked two jobs since then as a board certified anesthesiologist assistant. I hope to raise more awareness about this awesome profession through this content. Outside of anesthesia, I am passionate about financial literacy and independence. I also love traveling and have a love/hate relationship with the gym.
This is not medical advice. New videos are posted sundays. Comment down below for any video requests!
