In this video, we take a look in some detail at what the Thrust Red/Accel values on the PERF page on the MCDU mean. We go through what values we need to set with regards to the different Noise Abatement Departure Procedures (NADP) 1 & 2.

In a NADP 2 Departure, the aircraft will target CLB speed (250 knots under 10,000) at the acceleration altitude.

In a NADP 1 Departure, the aircraft will maintain SRS (Speed Reference System V2 + 10knts 20knts) until passing acceleration altitude when it will then target CLB speed.

We demonstrate both departures and show you how to set up the MCDU to perform them.
