Abhijeet talks about singing for R D Burman u0026 Kishore Kumar and his struggles in Bollywood

Abhijeet Bhattacharya, popularly known as Abhijeet, is an Indian playback singer known for his work in Bollywood. Born in Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh, Abhijeet gained popularity in the 1990s and early 2000s for his melodious voice and numerous hit songs. Abhijeet was born into a Bengali family in Kanpur. He had a passion for music from a young age and participated in various music competitions during his school and college days. He completed his education in Kanpur and later moved to Mumbai to pursue a music career.
Abhijeet made his Bollywood debut in 1990 with the song "Har Kasam Se Badi Hai" from the movie Jeevan Ki Shatranj. However, his major breakthrough came with the song "Ole Ole" from the movie Yeh Dillagi (1994), which became immensely popular. Over the years, he lent his voice to many successful Bollywood films and worked with renowned music directors like Anu Malik, JatinLalit, NadeemShravan, and A. R. Rahman. Some of his popular songs include:

"Chalte Chalte" from Chalte Chalte
"Zara Sa Jhoom Loon Main" from Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge

Throughout his career, Abhijeet has received several awards and nominations for his contribution to Indian music, including Filmfare Awards and Zee Cine Awards.
