Demonstration of how the ACI Gear Warning System works when installed in the Searey.

3 parameters are looked at by the ACI Gear Warning System:

a) Airspeed When the aircraft decelerates for an approach, the ACI Gear Alert System will interrogate the pilot to select the appropriate button on the panel for a Land or Water Landing.

b) Flap Position Anytime a flap selection of 20 degrees (or more) is selected, the ACI Gear Alert System will interrogate the pilot to select the appropriate button on the panel for a Land or Water Landing.

c) Gear Position Regardless of Airspeed or Flap position, if the pilot changes the gear position, the ACI Gear Alert System will interrogate the pilot to select the appropriate button on the panel for a Land or Water Landing.

The ACI Gear Alert System may be temporarily disabled to allow practicing slow flight without audio interrogations.
