My patient Henna has had an ACL reconstruction (hamstring graft), a medial meniscal repair and a MCL tear. At Week 14 postop she is doing well considering the amount of stiffness she has had in the knee into extension and flexion from the multiple injuries and wearing a brace to heal the MCL.
But hard work pays of (she is very committed!) and so now she is on track with ALL her exercises in this stage. Today I outline just SOME of the essential componentry in her rehab program for week 14:
Single leg strength: Loaded step down
Single leg stability: BOSU skater squats
Strength testing preparation: Pistol squats
Impact loading: 1 to 2 leg Box jump
Running preparation: Impact side steps
Flexion mobility: Kneeling quadriceps stretching
