Gibraltar airport, or RAF Gibraltar is a small and challenging airfield in the very small British overseas territory of Gibraltar. It's home to the RAF and sees multiple visits of various aircraft, ranging from the C17 to the A400M and C130, normally based at RAF Brize Norton in the UK.
On our recent trip, this particular C17, ZZ176, came in from RAF Brize Norton on Wednesday 13th October 2021. Its routing around the rock of Gibraltar gave this incredible view of the arrival from our vantage point near the siege tunnels up on the northern face of the rock.
