Greece Explored 🇬🇷

Methana is a rugged and amazing Greek Volcanic Island Peninsula located close to Athens between the Peloponnese and Athens.

In this video I explore this amazing volcanic peninsula, and find Greek sites untouched by archaeology, an island just awaiting discovery and research.

Home to fantastic Greek History, a Hellenic Acropolis, a Mycenaean Acropolis, Hot volcanic Springs, and 32 Active Volcanic Craters, the Volcano of Methana is also popular as a seaside holiday resort with Athenians.

Located only 30 miles from Athens, it is served by ferries from Athens, Piraeus, Aegina and Poros. Being remote it is almost unknown to foreign tourists.

Best explored with a car, Methana is perfect for amazing hiking and exploration with fantastic out of this world volcanic scenery, and Greek history dating back some 3500 years.
