In this, the fourth video on renovating my Adcock & Shipley mill, I continue to investigate the design of the vertical head and tackle a couple of issues. One of the bevel gears has a burr left from the original machining which could be affecting alignment. This is an opportunity to clean up this surface and restore parallelism between the front and rear of the gear. A potential oil leakage path is identified and is solved by machining a groove and fitting an Oring.
