We're adding some incredible new cold hardy Begonia plants to the Grow Paradise garden this week. Begonia 'Sterling Moon' and 'Dark Side of The Moon' were bred by Ozzie Johnson in Atlanta, Georgia, in the USA. The aim of this Begonia breeding programme was to breed amazing foliage Begonias with hardiness down to USA gardening zone 7 (17ºC). These impressive foliage Begonias are not only hardy, but will produce small pink flowers in the warmer summer months.

When growing cold hardy Begonias we recommend ensuring the plants are provided with fee draining soil to prevent water logging in freezing temperatures, this will help increase the chances of them surviving freezing temperatures.
