Why do sneakers need extra lacing holes?
Option one.
These holes are needed by athletes. Thanks to these holes, you can lace up your shoes so that the foot will be firmly fixed in the sneakers and this will help the legs easier to tolerate large physical exertion.
How to use these holes?
Here on sneakers usual lacing. I take the lace and push it into the extra hole. I’m doing such a loop here.
I make similar manipulations with the second end of the laces.
I got two such loops.
Now, I push the end of the right lace into the left eyelet, and the end of the left lace into the right eyelet. Tighten and tie the laces.
With such a lacing, the foot is tightly squeezed with shoes, sneakers do not dangle on the foot, and will not rub calluses.
To remove the sneakers, you need to untie the bow, let the loops, and then the whole lacing. You can take off your shoes.
Why else can I use these extra holes in sneakers?
The second use of these holes is diametrically opposed to the first.
This method is suitable for people who just do not really need to tie their shoelaces. And to be more precise, then people who don’t tie shoelaces at all, but are used to wearing sneakers like slippers.
How to use these holes in this case.
On sneakers, you need to make the desired lanyard tension. Pull them so that it is comfortable to walk and at the same time, you can put on and take off your sneakers.
Now. I push the edge of the lace into the additional hole. I pull it out of another additional hole and again poke it in the first.
I perform similar operations with the second end of the laces.
That's it, the ends of the laces are thus fixed and will hold the right lacing tension well.
And what to do with the ends of the laces?
They can be cut.
But if you are wiser, you can simply lay them under the insole. Under the insole they will not be felt with the foot, and will not create any discomfort when walking. In addition, they can be removed from under the insole at any time and used in the classical way.
