This adorable little boy was slightly underwhelmed by the news of his mum’s engagement, insisting that he wanted to marry her instead.

Jasmine Brannan was delighted to share the news of her engagement with her son, Asher, after boyfriend of fivemonths, Ian Faulkner, popped the question on January 12th.

Sure that mummy’s boy Asher would be delighted by the news, Jasmine was left shocked by the fouryearold’s stern but adorable objections at home in Frankfort, Illinois.

Attempting to explain the significance of her new diamond ring, little Asher remains in a state of denial insisting engagement only means keeping the ring on ‘all night’.

When corrected and told it means that Ian wants to marry Jasmine, Asher sweetly proclaims, ‘But I want to marry you,’ before scolding Ian with a ‘No’ at his plea to let him walk his beloved mother down the aisle.
