Zerocopy allocations are way to blur or even erase the boundary between host memory and device memory, thus avoiding the need for explicit memory transfers. The HIP runtime takes care of shuffling memory between host and compute device. This means that the same allocation is visible from both host and the compute device, with varying degrees of synchronisation between the two.
