If you have weakness and pain following shins splints or ankle injuries, after the initial rehab here are some new advanced exercises to do to help increase the strength of the lower leg muscles. Namely tibialis posterior and the peroneals, depending on what deficit, weakness or injury you may have. Follow the rules on which way the band should be during the calf raise to get the correct line of load to effect the right muscle group. Start off eccentric first, then progress to up and down on one leg (concentrtic only).
