This flight was Round 4 at the Flying Cardinals of Northern Kentucky Pattern Contest, May 20, 2023. It was late afternoon, about 4 pm, so the sun was just getting low enough to be a factor for turn around figures on the left end of the box. The hard landing at the end damaged the Falcon carbon fiber prop, making it unusable. Dave Johnstone, the Contest Director, gave me a spare 20x13 APC prop so that I could fly the remaining two rounds and finish the contest. Thank you, Dave!
