This is part one of a mutipart series stemming from a recent trip to Florence Italy along with 10 other artists. THE DUOMO In this demonstration I try to show how an artist takes a complex scene and searches for simplicity in shape and Tonal values. I identify a center of interest that helps me in structuring the composition and design and also helps in finishing the painting.
