Aerolite 103 Flight this morning, Beautiful day and it performed very well, I nibbled at stalls, pulled power to see what it feels like in event of power loss and worked at best way to loose altitude the fastest, pull power and point it at target or slow it up and let it loose altitude. Both seemed to work well, did not do any slips, that will be for next flight and stalls in steep bank turns will be next flight also. The stalls seem to be gentle with no real suprises, so far. The only thing I have found suprising about flying the 103 is the ailerons get very stiff as you approach VNE, 70 mph, it is possible to turn or roll near VNE but it is a matter of putting pressure on ailerons and waiting. If 65 or below not a problem. We have adjusted mixture and the MZ201 is running very smooth at part throttle. This 103 is first 2 cycle aircraft I have flown so the 2 cycle/ 4 cycle thing to a bit of getting used to, but it is running great now. I have always wanted to fly an ultralight where pilot is in front of engine and prop and setting out front.
