I finished assembling the hybrid Aeronca JAP engine for the C2. It has a different set of cylinders which are deliberately made to look more like an Aeronca E113 rather than a JAP J99. The difference between the two engine types is 99% cosmetic anyway.

The aircraft originally had a side valve Aeronca E107 engine. As previously mentioned, that engine failed spectacularly in 1936. This new engine uses a near identical crankcase but with overhead valves and produces a knicker ripping 36 horsepower at 2400 RPM.

The propeller is a Lang LA.10.
