Hughes MD500

The McDonnell Douglas Helicopter Systems MD 500 Defender is a light multirole military helicopter based on the MD 500 light utility helicopter.
The original OH6 Cayuse helicopter proved its worth during the Vietnam War in the light helicopter role. The designers at Hughes realized there was a market for a light multimission helicopter with an improved equipment fit than the OH6 and Model 500M. The resulting design was the Model 500MD Defender which first flew in 1976. It was tailored for specific roles including unarmed observation and an armed scout helicopter equipped with TOW antitank missiles. An antisubmarine version was developed with a search radar, magnetic anomaly detector and the capability to carry lightweight aerial torpedoes.

Turku Airshow – June 1516, 2019 is the main airshow event in Finland 2019. Airshow is organized by Turku Flying Club with support from Finnish Air Force and Finnish Aeronautical Association.
Turku Airshow is 100th Anniversary Airshow of Finnish Aeronautical Association (FAA).
FAA has 100th anniversary year 2019 and President of Finland Mr. Sauli Niinistö is the patron of the anniversary year.
Turku Airshow will honour the 75th Anniversary of the end of the Continuation War and the importance of air arm to Finnish Independence.
Also 2019 will be the 80th anniversary of the start of WWII when Winter War started.

Ilmailualan ykköstapahtuma Suomessa vuonna 2019, Suomen päälentonäytös ja Ilmailuliiton 100vuotisjuhlalentonäytös järjestetään 15.16. kesäkuuta 2019 Turun lentoasemalla. Tapahtuman järjestää Turun Lentokerho Ry, joka on järjestänyt mieleenpainuvia lentonäytöksiä jo vuodesta 1926!
Päälentonäytöksessä yleisöllä on ainutlaatuinen mahdollisuus kuulla suihkuhävittäjien jälkipolton jyrinää ja nähdä klassista taitolentoa, pelastushelikoptereita, muodostelmalentoa ja kokea ilmailun huumaa sen eri muodoissa.
Turun päälentonäytös on kesän ainoa lentonäytös, jossa jälkipolton jylinä täyttää taivaan ja suihkuhävittäjät taiteilevat upeita esityksiä taivaalle.
