I recently flew on Air Greenland's newest aircraft to experience its "Premium" cabin with snowy landscapes and friendly Danish hospitality.

Air Greenland is owned by the Greenlandic government, but realistically it's a heavily Danishinfluenced airline with mostly European executives. The airline has played a pivotal role in connecting the vast and unpredictable landscapes of Greenland for decades as the autonomous territory of Denmark has no roads outside of town limits. Aviation serves as a lifeline for remote communities, especially those without access to harbors. SAS and a Danish mining company founded the airline as Grønlandsfly in 1960.

The A330800neo has been a slow seller as only 7 have been built so far. But the shortened widebody fits Air Greenland's future plans to connect the capital city Nuuk's shortrunway and Copenhagen while being stuffed with cargo. It replaced the airline's previous jet (an old A330200 nicknamed Norsaq). Passenger comfort was decreased in the new highdensity jet, and the quality in Premium class also decreased poorly. I was disappointed in the undercooked food, lack of hot towels, and reduced personal touch (even though prices were increased 2x).
