Akemie's Taiko - living and organic drums (Eurorack IDM/Glitch Euclidean rhythms)

Follow
transistorkreis

A clock divider, a Euclidean sequencer and the transistorkreis random are used to create living and organic drums with the Akemie's Taiko from ALM Busy Circuits. External effects are not involved except for slight compression and a spring reverb in the second patch.

The Akemie's Taiko is a Eurorack drum module based on FM synthesis and original Yamaha ICs. It features 6 FM algorithms with 2 or 4 operators,
7 selectable waveforms and CV inputs for several FM parameters. Please find more information about it on the homepage of ALM Busy Circuits:

The transistorkreis random is used in this video to randomize FM parameters. It is a quad true random voltage generator for modulation and for digital noise. Each of its four outputs can be switched to uniform or normal random distribution, unipolar or bipolar voltage range and an amplitude of 5 Vpp or 10 Vpp. There are two inputs to trigger new random voltages, which also process trigger signals in the audio range. The generic design of the transistorkreis random supports any modular format and its firmware is open source.

Please watch this video for basic information about the transistorkreis random and have a look at its manual and detailed photos:
