Here's another in my quest to cover early2000's personalfavorites: "NEMESIS", off of #ArchEnemy's 2005 album, 'Doomsday Machine'!

Like a lot of my covers these last couple of years, I was fortunate to find some stems from this album. There wasn't much of a proper tempo map, so I had to spend some time making one myself. But I was stoked to find stems for this at all I loved this album back when it came out. I've also been a fan of Daniel Erlandsson for about as long as I can remember his playing with Arch Enemy is perfect (in my opinion!). Creative drum parts, that at times can be interesting & complex, but still laid back & simple at points too. Contextually, it's a perfect blend for a band like this. He's always been able to make drumming interesting without overplaying, but it's clear that he has the chops to do so much. NOT to mention if you've ever seen live videos of him, he absolutely KILLS it. He makes wonderful contact with drums in general, & has a great feel. In my opinion, he's way underrated! So here's to you, brother thanks for being SICK !

Shoutout to Declan White for the mix (!) killin' it, at ALWAYS! Thanks brotha !!! I also opted to leave the vocals IN the mix for this one I feel like the vocals are a pretty huge part of this song, & it felt a bit odd as an instrumental.

14x5 Tama Maple Snare (...of some kind. Not exactly sure what this snare is. I know it's a 14x5 Maple, but don't have much more info on it. I found it used on Facebook Marketplace a yearorso ago, & got it for a great price. It's definitely older probably late 90's / early2000's. At any rate, it's a great drum & I was stoked with how it turned out! This was my first time recording it!)
