A bit of information on this album I didn't drum on the WHOLE thing, only 5 songs the 5 that were written (or cowritten, I think?) by Aaron Smith. Aaron is a great audio engineer & guitarist you may recognize his name from other video descriptions, as he's mixed some stuff for me here & there over the years. He also used to have a band called 7Horns7Eyes (still technically a band, I guess. But they haven't put out any new music in a hot minute). At ANY rate, *someday*, whenever he finally gets around to doing another 7Horns album, we've talked about my drumming on it (as I've continually expressed interest in doing so over the years, LOL). I love what Aaron writes it's SUPER heavy, atmospheric, & just allaround SICK!

So ANYWAYZ Aaron was working on this stuff with Jared, & at some point suggested having me play on the songs he wrote. Jared was into the idea, & BOOM: The rest is history!

The 5 I played on are...

1) Dreams That Will Never Be (this song)
2) Insidious Majesty
3) Speed Run
4) Piercing The Darkness
5) Blood Letter

& yes, I recorded playthrough's for all 5. So there're 4 more to come! I will note however that the drum videos are NOT the same takes as the album takes by the time I got home from the last tour I did with Light The Torch, I only had limited time to get the tracking done for these songs. So I opted to not do video for the actual tracking; instead I just learned the songs well enough to punch my way through. THEN, a couple weeks later, after continuing to rehearse them / get them tighter (or, get them to where I could do them in one full take), I rerecorded all of them (Lol), & filmed video for it. Hopefully that all makes sense. Probably doesn't matter to most people, but for any supernerds out there, I figured I'd mention it!

Some other credits: Obviously, shoutout to Aaron Smith (!), who wrote the songs (as well as the initial drum ideas he honestly writes SICK drum parts. I just changed things a bit & added embellishments). I'd say the song I changed most / did my own thing on is "Speed Run", so make sure to check that one out too!
