Despite the fact that I'm no longer with Whitechapel, I'm still immensely proud of 'KIN'. So awhile back I recorded a few more playthroughs for some of my favorite tunes from the album while the material was still relatively 'fresh' for me. Here's the second (of 4) "I Will Find You".

If memory serves me correctly, this is the second song I wrote drums for during the writing process of the album (the first being "Lost Boy", I think). With this one though, Zach sent me a guitar file only no drums whatsoever to see what I'd come up with. After sending ideas back & forth for awhile, we definitely ended up changing some of the initial parts that I wrote (to match more of what they initially had in mind on their end), but some of my O.G. parts surely remained. Ex. the drums in the 'chorus': The kick pattern doesn't really follow any specific guitar, bass, or vocal part. I sorta just felt like the drums needed something there, & for whatever reason, that rhythm / kick part just came naturally & made sense to me for that part (& luckily, they all liked it too!).

That's one thing I really liked about writing with the 'Chapel boyz how collaborative it was. At the end of the day, the only goal was to write the best songs possible. I'll surely miss that. But as I said in my last W.C. playthrough video description: Given the circumstances, I know that moving on was the right thing for me to do. But honestly it'll still always break my heart a bit. I was a fan of the band before playing with them, & it meant a lot to me to represent & write with them. But regardless of all that, I'll always be immensely proud of this album, so I hope you enjoy this playthrough (& the other two that I've yet to post, too!).
