Princess Alice of Battenberg was the mother of Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh, motherinlaw of Queen Elizabeth II, and paternal grandmother of King Charles III. Her fascinating life from being born deaf and being diagnosed with schizophrenia, to then devoting most of her remaining years to charity work in Greece definitely makes her an extremely memorable Royal.

Her son, Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh, carried on her extraordinary legacy by marrying Queen Elizabeth II and changing the course of history by agreeing to have their wedding televised for the first time.
