This video outlines the recommendations of Canada Senate Committee report asking to phase out the Employer Specific Work Permit after finding out that this program has the tendencies to be abused. Workers are not even informed of their rights that is why these recommendations were reported by the committee.

Also, the Cooper Institute, a community center in Prince Edward Island has also recommended the phase out of the Employer Specific Work permit also known as closed work permit.
