ছবির মত সুন্দর ছোট দ্বীপদেশ পালাউ। প্রাকৃতিক সৌন্দর্য আর স্বতন্ত্র সংস্কৃতির কারণে বিশ্বজুড়ে ভ্রমণপ্রিয় মানুষের কাছে বরাবরই আকর্ষণীয় পালাউ। ছোটবড় ৩৪০টি দ্বীপ নিয়ে গঠিত পালাউ পৃথিবীর ক্ষুদ্রতম দেশগুলোর একটি। এর উপকূলে প্রায় ১৩০ প্রজাতির হাঙর পাওয়া যায়। এখানেই রয়েছে বিশেষ একটি হ্রদ যেখানে ভেসে বেড়ায় লাখ লাখ জেলিফিশ। এসব সামুদ্রিক প্রাণী সংরক্ষণেও ভীষণ সচেতন তারা। আর অর্থনৈতিকভাবেও দেশটি সমৃদ্ধ। পর্যটনই পালাউয়ের আয়ের প্রধান উৎস। কৃষিকাজ এবং মাছ ধরেও জীবিকা নির্বাহ করেন দেশটির নাগরিকেরা।
