Written and directed by Model Aviation Hall of Fame inductee Robert (Bob) Benjamin in the mid1990s, “All Because of Model Airplanes” is a promotional video about aeromodeling and also highlights the Academy of Model Aeronautics and the benefits of being a member.

Primarily geared toward nonmodelers, the video introduces Free Flight, Control Line, and Radio Control Models and the variety of aircraft flown within each of those categories. Segments highlighting aeromodeling history offer glimpses of Jim Walker and Walt and Bill Good, while brief interviews with Brian Richmond, Gil Coughlin, Paul Walker, and Woody Blanchard showcase the value of aeromodeling for aviationrelated careers. Interviews with AMA members and their families from across the United States touch on the friendship and camaraderie of the hobby.

Overall time is 24 minutes.
