Somewhere I've wanted to go to for a long time due to it's high volume of freight traffic passing, Dedensen/Gümmer station is a small stop on the Minden branch of the Hannover SBahn, which is also the mainline route to the west of the city. Just a short way up the line is the large Seelze hump marshalling yard & depot, which explains the frequency of freight through here as most of it has come/from or going via there.
