Pizza Pot Pie | Easy & Delicious Family Dinner Recipe!
Pizza Pot Pie
Ingredients:
2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
1 tsp dry oregano leaves
1 lb Italian sausage
1 pound ground beef
8 oz cream cheese
1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
1/2 red onion, diced
1 green bell pepper, diced
18 slices pepperoni
2 tbsps sliced black olives, optional
pie dough for 2 crust 9" pie or canned Pillsbury Pizza Crust
1 egg and 1 tsp water for egg wash
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350°.
Cook ground beef and sausage over medium heat until cooked through. Turn heat down to mediumlow, add diced pepper and onion and cook until tender. Add cream cheese and mix until melted. Turn heat as low as it can go and add 1 1/2 cups of the mozzarella cheese. Add the pepperoni, tomatoes, and olives.
Press pie crust or pizza crust dough into a 9X9 pan.
Pour in sausage and ground beef mixture. Top with other crust.
In a small bowl mix the egg and tsp of water.
Brush over top crust.
Add pepperoni and remaining mozzarella cheese to top.
Bake for 3540 minutes, until crust is cooked through.
