The updated 2025 BMW X3 has grown lower, longer, and wider to pack in more capability and features, while adopting new model names, ditching the rearwheel drive option, gaining more standard equipment and, naturally, going up in price. Here's what you need to know for the newest BMW compact luxury SUV.

There's a sportier look for the new X3 SUV this year, as it has dropped its overall height by an inch (65.4 in.), grown in overall length by 1.3 inches (187.2 in.), and it's also 1.1 inches wider (75.6 in.), for a result that's lower, longer, and wider, seeming more visually grounded to the road. The kidney grille now gets both vertical and angular line effects for a pop of interest, with available additional contour lighting that makes the outline of those grilles glow at night. At the rear, the lower trim hides the exhaust while the higher trim shows them off.
