This is a Motormouth couple car review of the allnew 2022 Audi A3 compact luxury sedan. The A3 has a 2L turbocharged 4cylinder with a 48volt mild hybrid system, a 7speed dual clutch transmission, 201 horsepower and 221 lbft of torque. Standard AWD in Canada, FWD and AWD options in the US. Good news, you can put regular fuel in this Audi. We really like how the A3 handles, it has a firmer suspension and heavier steering than I am used to from Audi, I prefer it and would consider this sedan if I didn’t need the space. The Audi A3 offers a modern and simplistic interior design, our base trim test model comes well equipped with a 10.1” touchscreen, a 10.25” digital instrument cluster, wireless Apple Carplay and wired Android Auto, wireless Android Auto is standard in the US, power driver’s seat and a manual passenger seat, a power passenger seat is standard in the US and available in Canada. Other standard features include, heated front seats, leather seating surfaces with stitching, a sunroof, foot activated trunk release and 17” wheels, our model has 18” wheels. Available features include, a 12.3” digital driver display, Audi MMI Navigation, driver seat memory, wireless charger, headup display, a Bang and Olufsen sound system, Matrix design headlights, power folding exterior mirrors, a sport suspension, damper control suspension, Audi side assist with rearcross traffic assist and park assist. There are some key features the A3 is missing, a heated steering wheel, ventilated front seats and heated rear seats. For fuel economy the Audi A3 gets 6.8L/100 km, 35 MPG highway and 8.7L/100 km, 27 MPG city.
