I always knew the Alpine A110 was going to be a good car, but perhaps I hadn't realised exactly how good it was going to be. But an invitation to come to Le Mans to see the reveal of the new Alpine A290 hot hatch was too good an opportunity to waste by letting the train take the strain. So I borrowed the keys to an A110S and headed to La Sarthe. To say I was surprised by how the car drove would be putting it mildly.....
