The Alport Research Hub was launched on 15 June 2022 and has both physical (based at Manchester University) and virtual capability to work on research projects to better understand Alport Syndrome and to develop treatments, particularly gene therapy. Stoneygate Trust and Kidney Research UK partnered together to fund this vital 5year project which also has a specific fund that researchers can apply to for funding additional Alport research projects.
