We visited Alte situated in Loule Algarve Portugal. This is known as the most representative town of the algarvian culture. The village has Algarve style whitewashed houses, traditional chimneys, and cobbled alleys. The Portuguese poet Cândido Guerreiro was born in Alte, in 1871.
This town is the most beautiful and artsy town I visited so far in the Algarve region and it's a place you don't want to miss if you want to have a first hand example of an unspoiled town in Algarve Portugal.
We also visited the famous waterfall in Alte, you will find it under the name Queda do Vigário, meaning "waters that falls".
