☆Message from the CEO

Hong Jonghoon moved from Jincheon, Chungbuk, to Seoul in March 1980 and started baking for the first time at a small bakery in Jongnogu. After that, he moved to Napoleon Bakery to hone his skills, while enjoying making bread and meeting good friends in the confectionery industry. After that, he moved to several places to acquire skills and management, and opened his first store in a 23.2 sq. m. space in Gaepodong.



With word of mouth that our bakery is fresh and delicious, our stores have expanded and we are thirsty for new technology. In 2001, we went to Mainz, Germany for training, and this led us to open a large bakery cafe called "Mainz Dome" in Banpodong, Seochogu. Since the opening of Mainz Dome, we have focused more on the technical aspects and won the French Patisserie World Cup National Team Development, and participated in the French Patisserie World Cup (Coupe de Monde de la Patisserie) as a representative of Korea. In this competition, we won first place individually in the Entremet Cake category and the Sugar Craft category, and were honored to receive a special award.



After that, we have steadily devoted ourselves to the development of Korean confectionery technology and passed on the knowhow we gained from advanced confectionery countries to our juniors, and in 2012, we were selected as a confectionery leader in Korea. After being selected as a confectionery leader, we took another leap and created a new trend in baking by naming our bakery "Hong Jong Hoon Bakery" under my personal name.

We will continue to strengthen our relationships with bakery technicians from Japan and France and spare no effort in learning new techniques and knowledge. At the same time, we will pass on our technical expertise and management knowhow to our juniors in order to develop the Korean confectionery and bakery industry, and ensure that our brand remains in the 100year history of the Korean confectionery and bakery industry.

We will also put our customers' trust first and become a brand that always brings joy to customers with our bread and sweets.
