This footage shows an ultra lowlevel flying of F16 from Misawa Air Base, which is around 400 miles north of Tokyo on the Japanese island of Honshu.
Military pilots continue to receive a lot of training in lowlevel flying. Fighter jocks continue to train at low altitudes even though the majority of current war scenarios take place at higher altitudes in order to sneak up on heavily guarded targets and elude areas covered by sophisticated air defense networks.
While standoff weaponry and electronic countermeasures are helpful, pilots' ability to place bombs on target and survive to fight another day may also depend on their proficiency in lowlevel combat situations around the globe.
