For admissions to BE program, a valid score in JEE Main or KCET is considered. It is then followed by a counselling
For admission to the MTech program, the candidates need to either qualify GATE or Karnataka PGCET
Candidates possessing BTech degree through Distance mode are not eligible to apply for MTech
For MBA admissions, the candidate needs to have a valid score in any of the National or State level Management Entrance Exam viz., KMAT, CAT, MAT, XAT, ATMA, or CMAT
For admissions to MCA, the candidate needs to qualify KPGCET examination with a valid score
MCA program is also offered in Lateral Entry mode
For all the courses, the institute gives preference to the students who hold the domicile of Karnataka

The library holds over 73545 books, 15640 titles, 65 encyclopedias, 55 print journals, provides access to electronic resources, newspapers and business magazines, and 3790 multimedia resources. It also has Institution membership of ISTE, CSI, DELNET, IETE, IEI and NDL. The library also has reprographic services, document scanning, document printing.
