Last year I flew with United on a 777300ER from Frankfurt to San Francisco and I was interested in seeing how American Airlines would compete. So I found a similar route from California back to Europe with AA once again on the 777300ER. American’s service was quite competitive to that of United’s offering a solid product but without much extra. Still, it is always a joy to fly on the 777300ER due to its large and modern interior and incredible GE90 engines. I understand that AA tends to be seen as the worst of the U.S. big 3, but honestly, flying them long was an absolute pleasure and I wouldn’t mind doing it again.
