After a fantastic time on the island of St. Maarten, my next stop was a flight up to Miami with American. This would be my 4th time flying with American and so far my experiences with them have been pretty solid.

We start this flight off with a Runway 28 Departure from St Maarten and out over the Caribbean Sea before turning in a northerly heading and across to the USA. Most of the flight was over water so not too much to see, the highlight across for me was seeing the beautiful turquoise waters of the Bahamas, the waters down there looked breathtaking to say the least. The weather in Miami was quite contrasting to that of St Maarten with dull overcast clouds in the area. The approach to Runway 30 was nice though with some great close up views of downtown Miami. Once landed we then had quite a long taxi to our stand, at the far end of the American Concourse!

Overall a good flight with American Airlines on one of their many 737800s. I wasn't in Miami for too long as this was a connecting flight onto my flight back to London with British Airways
