What better way to celebrate the 4th of July in a town called Americus! Americus, Kansas, is located in Lyon County and was the county seat of this area when it was known as Breckenridge County (when Kansas was a territory). Even though it eventually lost it's county seat battle with Emporia, it has remained a viable town. You might think there would be 365 days a year USA flags everywhere, but Americus is a normal small town and that's what I liked about it. Hopefully you like this video too!
