When he was born, the grandeur of a city was measured by the size of its cathedral. In Florence, his city, it was built the largest, but when they had to build the dome, realized that it was impossible. The cathedral of Florence had a huge hole in its roof for years, hurting the honor of the Florentines. Until he appeared, Filippo Brunelleschi. Pippo was able to build the most colossal dome in Europe, which still dominates the landscape of Florence from any point of view in the city. But he died on April 15, 1446 and kept the secrets of its construction until death.
