This Antonov An12 of Motor Sich Airlines caused a bit of trouble at Liege. One of the propellers didn` t work as it was supposed to and the crew decided to turn it off. The aircraft departed Liege and the error happened right after departure. The AN12 was on its way to Cairo which is a 7 hour flight for the small Antonov and that` s why there was quite some fuel on board. The AN12 had tu burn fuel while circling above Liege Airport for almost two hours until it finally returned to the Airport with the outer propeller clearly turned off.

The Airplane stayed on the ground for over a week until it finally headed to Cairo. Motor Sich is one of the last operators of the An12 worlwide and it` s always a pleasure to see one of these classic propeller planes in fron of my camera lens. Other operatos are UKL Aviation, Cavok Air and Ruby Star.
