They make up some of the most emotional TV moments of all time. But as journalist Andrew Pierce recently found out, not all family reunions are like the tearjerking scenes we see onscreen. Almost 50 years after his biological mother left him in a children's home just weeks after he was born, Andrew decided it was the right time to track her down finally. But what followed was an extraordinary set of twists and turns leading him on a journey across the UK to find the answers he desperately wanted.
