Boston Symphony Orchestra performing the Symphony NO.6 by Gustav Mahler fascinated the full of audiences in Suntory Hall Tokyo.
It was the first tour abroad since the beginning of Covid19 era.

The artistic director Andris Nelsons in ringing applause, suddenly turned to the audience and started to make a surprise speech.

The Latvian conductor assured the audience the presence of the exit of our terrible situation that we all share, with his warmhearted words.

"It's amazing, the link between the audience itself, and audience and the orchestra. I think that proves and shows there is exit out of all this terrible situation, either it's a war or pandemic and so on..."
"I think there is a chance to show the world that we can influence the world to be better, and I think music is one of this way. And therefore, I'm saying thank you very much to all individuals, all you who come to the concert."
