Murray, ranked No. 129, is competing in his first US Open since 2018. The 33yearold Briton won the first of his three Grand Slam titles at the 2012 US Open, but missed the US Open in 2017 and 2019 through injury, and seriously considered retiring from the game after the 2019 Australian Open.

Murray has won a shocking 10 fivesetters coming back from a twoset deficit (three of those have come at the US Open). What can he produce here against No. 49 Nishioka?
