When Anthony first started experiencing symptoms, he was too embarrassed to tell his parents. “It felt like someone was poking a pencil through my intestines”, he says. At 18, he finally found the courage to speak up and was diagnosed with Crohn’s Disease. Anthony wants to break the taboo around bowel diseases and hopes to inspire other patients and caregivers. Visit www.ascp.org/patients to read more about Anthony’s journey and to meet our other Champions.
