Antibiotic (Cipro) Induced Achilles Tendonitis Treatment

Follow
Treat My Achilles

In this video, we discuss the treatment for antibiotic induced Achilles tendonitis. Unlike regular tendonitis, antibioticinduced tendonitis can be more painful and last longer. The first step is to speak to your doctor immediately about switching to a different type of antibiotic. Antiinflammatory medication and heel lift shoe inserts can also help to reduce pain and inflammation. Load management and specific exercises for your Achilles tendon are also recommended to restore strength and function. Supplements such as Vitamin C and E may improve recovery, but be sure to speak to your doctor about a safe dose.

In the video I mention heel lift shoe inserts to help your Achilles pain to calm down. Here are some examples on Amazon:

XINIFOOT: https://geni.us/QiGjBE
Ailaka gel: https://geni.us/pZUEZ
Remember to use them in both shoes!
